• What do I do with hemp soap?

  Cleanse body and face
  This bar is a great all natural soap for all skin types. Our hemp soap bar with lavender + orange blossom works on face, body and hair! The coconut oil and olive oil soap base create a rich lather to cleanse skin gently and effectively. Hemp seed oil and extract give added hydration so that you’re not wiping away your skin's natural oils.   Hand wash
  We all know how important it is to wash hands regularly. We are forced to use drying alcohol-based sanitizer in public. But at home, organizations like the FDA recommend soap and warm water to wash your hands. Hemp is an effective natural moisturizer. By choosing hemp soap for hand washing, your hands will be clean and hydrated. This will prevent long term over-drying, cracking and scaliness.Many liquid hand soaps use chemical fragrance which are not only drying, but also aggravating to irritated skin. Our hemp soap uses organic lavender and orange blossom to naturally (and safely!) give you the soap-smelling-goodness you're looking for.

• Will hemp soap make me high?

  No. Hemp soap will not make you high.
  
  The part of the cannabis plant that will make you high is the cannabinoid THC or tetrahydrocannabinol. Empyri hemp soap does not contain THC because we use hemp seeds and roots, not marijuana flower where THC comes from.

• Who can use hemp soap?

  Children
  With zero CBD and zero THC, empyri hemp soaps are safe for children of any age. Newborns can develop a scaly rough patch on their scalp. This is called cradle cap, sort of the baby version of dandruff. It’s harmless and corrects itself over time but hemp soap can be used to gently wash away the flakes and soothe baby’s tender skin.

• Can I use hemp soap with my skin condition?

  Acne
  Got back-ne? Don't panic. Hemp soap is here to treat body acne gently. Hemp seed oil is non-comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores and hemp seed extract adds extra hydration to prevent over-drying of the skin barrier. Lavender + orange blossom essential oils help clear acne naturally with their anti inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
  
  Eczema/Psoriasis
  Hemp soap helps with eczema and psoriasis by supporting much-needed hydration and a strong skin barrier. Hemp soap won’t strip your skin of its natural oils like typical body washes that use chemical surfactants. Plus added hemp seed oil and hemp seed extract are proven to nourish skin with omega fatty acids to moisturize.

• Does hemp soap melt?

  Only if you let it! If you've never used a natural soap before, here's a few tips to make sure it doesn't melt:
  
  

  1. While still in the box, store soap in a cool, dry place.
  2. After opening, store soap on a well-draining surface after each use. Bamboo soap savers are our top pick!
  3. While showering, do not leave your soap bar directly under a stream of running water.

  
  
  We formulated this hemp seed oil soap to be quite firm so unless you neglect in on the side of your bathtub, it shouldn't dissolve too quickly. To help it last even longer, use your soap with a loofah or washcloth.

• Why does my hemp soap box say "cannabis sativa"?

  Cannabis sativa is the plant genus (family). Both marijuana and hemp are species in the cannabis family. So marijuana is cannabis but cannabis is not necessarily marijuana - and the same goes for hemp. Still following? Its just like lemons and limes. Both are citrus; they share some common traits. But they are not the same.
  
  Our founder Jen is a chemical engineer. Jen loves science and she loves getting technical. (You should see her analyze jumping techniques before her next mountain biking session... it's next level!). So she called empyri products what they are, cannabis! We use hemp roots, hemp seed oil and hemp seed extract - all cannabis, but not at all the same thing as marijuana.
