  Fun fact: Growing hemp requires less water than cotton, as well as less pesticides and other harmful chemicals. And hemp is carbon negative, meaning that it absorbs carbon from the atmosphere - something our earth needs right now!

  This hemp washcloth style is double-sided; it can be used both on the face and on the body. The smooth side is gentle on skin and effective at removing excess product after oil cleansing. The textured side is exfoliating, best used to slough off dead skin in the shower.

• How to use our hemp washcloth

  We love when a single product has multiple uses. Our hemp washcloth fits the bill.
  
  To wash your face:
  This hemp washcloth is the perfect companion to an oil cleanser. After dissolving your makeup and massaging your face, it's time to rinse. Dampen the smooth side your washcloth with lukewarm water (never hot - this will irritate your skin barrier) and gently wipe over your face and neck to rinse and remove excess product.
  
  To exfoliate your body:
  Pair your hemp washcloth with your favourite of our cold processed soaps to get your scrub on in the shower. Activate your soap bar with warm water and lather onto skin. Using gentle pressure, rub the textured side of your hemp wash cloth back and forth to exfoliate. Your skin naturally sheds in cycles as your body produces new skin cells. You should support this process by exfoliating about 1x per week. This helps reduce flaking caused by dryness and body acne due to build up in the pores. Plus, it leaves skin soft and smooth.

• How do I clean this washcloth?

  Extend the life of your hemp wash cloth by following these customer care directions.
  
  To wash your washcloth after each use:

  1. Rinse thoroughly with warm water
  2. Ring out excess water
  3. Hang to dry in well-ventilated area

  
  You should also launder your washcloth regularly. Toss it in a cold or warm load with other towels and linens. Hang to dry or pop it in the dryer. Laundering your washcloth regularly is an often overlooked albeit very important step in your skincare routine. Using a clean washcloth ensures you're not adding any grime or bacteria back onto your face. And the same goes for towels and pillowcases too!

• Can I use it on my baby?

  Yes, you can use this washcloth on a baby. While the soft side is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, avoid using the textured side on your baby to avoid irritation. Their soft skin doesn't need to be scrubbed!

• Should the cloth be washed before first use?

  Yes, you should wash your new hemp washcloth before first use. This is best practice with any new textile, especially one you'll be using on your face. Wash with other towels or linens in cold or warm water; hang up to dry or put in the dryer on a warm cycle.

• Can these be laundered in hot water and high heat dryer?

  As mentioned in a previous question, you should launder your washcloth regularly. We recommend a cold or warm water cycle because they get the job done and it's a more eco-friendly choice. This hemp washcloth style is durable though, so a hot water wash won't hurt it.
  
  The same thing goes for the dryer. The best choice for you and the planet is hang-to-dry. Next is a warm dryer cycle which is gentle on the wear and tear of every textile. In a pinch, a high heat dryer cycle here and there won't hurt your washcloth. Hemp is a extremely durable textile; this is one of the many reasons it is making a comeback!

• How often should it be replaced?

  Your hemp washcloth never needs to be replaced permanently from your collection. Use it forever! When it comes to replacing with something clean for washing your face, we recommend using a fresh washcloth every 2-3 washes. If you wear zero makeup, you might be able to go up to 1 week. If you're using your oil cleanser as a makeup remover to take off gobs of mascara and bronzer every day, you will want to use a new wash cloth every day.
